【Course description】
The objective of this course is to provide an introductory study of critical topics related to nature conservation from a social science perspective.
Diverse social contexts exist behind environmental issues. Analyzing the relationship between humans and nature requires various approaches to decipher these diverse contexts.
After studying environmental justice, population theory, commons theory, and political economy as a framework, several environmental issues will be examined as specific examples, including vegetarianism, bottled water, e-waste, and carbon emission regulations.
