We recently expanded our garden space. We are now managing two gardens outside Buildings 10 and 6.

We have been continuing the Sustainable Campus Forum, which seeks to engage faculty, staff, and students in open discussions about how we can co-create a more sustainable campus and be empowered to join sustainability initiatives and decision-making within the university. The past few forums have been organized together with the Office of Sophia Sustainability Promotion.

The Environmental Change Workshop is a series of workshops on climate mitigation, agrarian and environmental change, agriculture and food, and sustainability topics. This project is supported by the Graduate Program in Global Studies and is part of the Political Ecology Network. KASA hosts themed seminars to create a conducive space for researchers and students to exchange ideas, discuss and promote research and foster collaboration between graduate students.

The AJCU Collaboration fosters connections with AJCU in Asia Pacific. In July 2022, in commemoration of the Ignatian Year, KASA represented Sophia University in an inter-university event to discuss sustainability challenges and issues. KASA is currently working on an initiative to reconnect with universities in the Philippines, Taiwan, Indonesia, and South Korea.

KASA members also engage in empirical and theoretical research by field-based learning and research, work with communities, actively participate in local and international conferences, publish scholarly papers, and organize workshops.
