“Sustainable Development Goals Student Photo Contest 2017” now opened for entries

On September 201, leaders of all nations gathered at United Nations Headquarters in New York and made historical agreement to work towards “The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)” for all people and the future generations. To bring awareness of the SDGs, a photo contest “Sustainable Development Goals Student Photo Contest 2017”will be hosted by the United Nations Information Center and Sophia University with special cooperation from Getty Image. The contest is open to graduate, undergraduate and junior college as well as vocational school students.

With no words please encapture your take on one or several goals of the 17 SDGs. Photo can be taken in Japan or overseas. You are encourage to ask yourself: what can I do to change the world How would the forward looking Goals affect my behavior and attitude? How can I raise awareness among my friends, family and community members and urge them to take action? Your ideas on these questions will be the key to achieving the SDGs.
As for the photos of the last year winners including three Sophia students will be exhibited at Visitor Center of UN headquarter in NYC.
