The 9th annual “Sophia Diversity Week 2025″will be held!

The Office for Diversity and Sustainability Promotion designates the period from November 25 (International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women) to December 10 (Human Rights Day), as Sophia Diversity Week. During this time, students and faculty members collaborate to host events aimed at fostering an inclusive society that embraces diversity.

These events are open to everyone.
Some events are limited to Sophia University students, faculty and staff members.

This year’s slogan is “Your style, Your story, Our Sophia.”

The slogan reflects the idea of respecting each individual’s uniqueness and background, and how the intersection of these diverse elements enriches the Sophia community. Diversity encompasses not only gender and perspectives but also ethnicity, culture, religion, and the presence or absence of disabilities. Sophia Diversity Week provides an opportunity to encounter the “styles” and “stories” of diverse individuals and expand your own worldview.

We encourage you to take a step toward understanding and respecting each other’s differences. Each of our actions contributes to shaping “Our Sophia”—a Sophia that embraces diversity.
