Main topics are 1) research examples of environmental remote sensing and 2) hands-on training of Google Earth Engine for generating land use land cover map by using machine learning approaches. This class aims to understand the principle of remote sensing as an environmental monitoring tool. Group tasks have goals to experience satellite-based data processing using GEE, to map a land cover types, to deduce environmental meaning from the result, and to improve research presentation skills.
