Call for proposal of organizing a “Sustainability Workshop” at Japan-Sweden MIRAI conference
“MIRAI” is a collaborative international academic research project by 20 universities of Japan and Sweden. It is now accepting program proposal of organizing a “Sustainability Workshop” during the event “Research & Innovation Week” to be held at Kyushu University Ito Campus from November 15 to 18 this year.
-Organizer: faculty member, research staff, PhD students, etc.
-Contents of program:
The workshop can vary from traditional scientific workshops with papers/comparative studies or other activities such as sharing experiences from ongoing projects, best practice on grant writing, student initiatives or sustainability in education.
-Topic of program:
Marine life/fisheries
Sustainable local economies
Risk management, resilience, disaster
Forests and sustainable forest management
Sustainability governance – national and local
War and sustainability
Value chains/Circularity of biobased energy systems, materials and products–advancements towards sustainability
-Duration of program: from 60 minutes to half day or full day
-Travel expenses: to be covered by the university
-Deadline for submission: June 1

-Selection:
Sustainability Thematic Expert Group which offers the workshop will select the program.
-Notification of selection: June 21
